Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, the child must:
- Be dependent on a parent who is:
- an Australian citizen,
- an Australian permanent resident, or
- an eligible New Zealand citizen
- Be:
- Under 18 years of age; or
- Over 18 and under 25, a fulltime student, financially dependent on the parent, and not working fulltime; or
- Over 18 with a disability requiring ongoing support
- Be single (never married, engaged, or in a de facto relationship)
- Meet health, character, and consent requirements
